Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow Our’an and Sunnah
• Prepare long-range plan, unit plans, and homework materials
• Teach a full range of subject areas including tajweed rules, recitation of Qur’an and memorization of surah
• Supervise students during classes and at other times during school day, including breaks
• Attend staff meetings
• Discuss students’ progress and concerns with parents and administrators
• Prepare for and attend parent-teacher interviews and other events
• Maintain appropriate standards of behaviour, mutual respect, and safety within classroom
• Formal and informal ongoing assessment of students, including daily agenda recording and communication with parents
• Integrate social responsibility and kindness into daily teaching and routines
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Understanding and application of correct tajweed rules
• Fluent recitation of Qur’an
• Hifz ul Qur’an
• Ijazah is an asset
• Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience
• Friendly, nurturing, attentive and respectful characteristics
• Excellent interpersonal and pragmatic skills
